The fifth grade physical fitness test is a state mandated test that is administered in February and March. It consists of the following elements:
1) The pacer run tests the student's aerobic fitness. 2) The curl-up test measures the student's abdominal strength and endurance. 3) The push-up test measures upper body strength and endurance. 4) The back saver sit and reach measures hamstring flexibility 5) Body Mass Index indicates the appropriateness of the student's weight relative to height.
